The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

7 P.M.
Police say a man shot and killed his girlfriend's brother during a fight around 7 p.m. near Hacienda Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. READ MORE.

6:30 P.M.
Police say a 70-year-old man was shot and killed near Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street. READ MORE.

5:41 P.M.
LVMPD is one the scene auto and pedestrian collision near Flamingo and Arville Roads involving a gold VW Jetta and an adult male who was transported to UMC Trauma. Westbound Flamingo is closed east of Cameron. The driver stopped and is cooperating with officers. Unknown if impaired.

5:33 P.M.
LVMPD responded to the intersection of Desert Inn and Pioneer due to reports of an adult male lying near the intersection suffering from a head injury. Police say witnesses stated that the male was hit by a black sedan that did not stop and continued after the collision. Eastbound traffic is closed for the intersection. The male victim was transported to University Medica Center, injuries are not life-threatening.

8:22 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to Regatta and Mariner Drives to assist a Desert Shores Lake swimmer that needed to be rescued from the lake. LVFR reports it was a successful rescue, the victim was taken to a local hospital for observation. All units have cleared the scene.

12:41 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at 1625 S. Eastern Ave., flames came through the roof of a 1-story boarded up, vacant building. The fire involved power lines and NV Energy requested police for assistance with traffic. No injuries reported.

OVERNIGHT
A 4-year-old boy is at the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a suspected DUI crash on Flamingo and Pecos roads around 10 p.m. Saturday. READ MORE
