RTC is reporting a vehicle fire on Interstate 11 northbound after Horizon Drive. Freeway right shoulder and right lane blocked. Expect delays.
UPDATE 11 A.M.
Police officers say a man is in custody following a barricade situation on Colossal Cave Avenue, near Deer Springs Way and Torrey Pines Drive. According to the department, he has minor injuries.
9:15 A.M.
SWAT and crisis negotiators are responding to a barricade situation on Colossal Cave Avenue, near Deer Springs Way and Torrey Pines Drive. Several residential streets in the area are blocked off.
According to police, a "man got into an argument with his parents" and "his parents became fearful of him and left the house." While they were outside they heard several gunshots. Police believe the man fired those rounds in the air from the backyard.
The incident remains ongoing. Avoid the area.
