The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

4:30 P.M.
A Caesars Entertainment Spokesperson released the following statement in regards to a water main break at The Linq hotel-casino. “A water line at The LINQ Hotel + Experience was damaged by construction. It had limited impact to the property as a whole, and water to those few impacted areas should be restored by 5:30 p.m. No guests or customers had to be evacuated.”

1:53 P.M.
Las Vegas police say a pedestrian was killed at 6101 N. Decatur Blvd. near West Tropical Parkway. No roads have been affected. READ MORE

7:52 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a fire in a 2-story apartment building at 2217 Sunrise Ave near Eastern Avenue. The building was evacuated. The fire is almost out.

5:23 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a fire at a small, one-story house at 301 Madison Ave. near D Street.

12:08 A.M.
Police say a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Flamingo Road near Paradise Road. She was transported to Sunrise Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. The woman, who was not in a crosswalk, was hit by a 2015-2019 black GMC Canyon or Chevrolet Colorado. The driver did not stay at the scene and has not been located. ***UPDATE FEB. 4, 2020: The coroner has identified the woman killed in this hit-and-tun crash as 32-year-old Gera Baker. The cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma and suicide. No word if a driver was arrested in this case.
