The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:45 P.M.

A 78-year-old woman walking on Boulder Highway was struck and killed by a vehicle at Indios Avenue, north of Flamingo Road. Las Vegas police said the pedestrian was hit by a car making a right turn from Indios to Boulder. Police had Boulder Highway closed at the intersection for the on-scene investigation. A man has since been arrested. READ MORE

8:15 P.M.

Clark County firefighters were called to a structure fire at 3696 San Antonio Avenue, near Pecos Road and Carey Avenue. Crews were able to extinguish the flames without any injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

3:50 P.M.

Clark County and Las Vegas firefighters battled a structure fire at 3855 S. Valley View Blvd., near Twain Avenue. Fire officials said a woman was injured in the blaze and transported to the hospital. Heavy smoke was visible from the auto repair building while this was an active fire.

10 A.M.

Henderson police are investigating a car that rolled over into a yard on Via da Vinci, near Via Inspirada and Bicentennial Parkway in Inspirada, around 7:40 a.m. The house was not damaged but a power box was hit and homes on the street are without power. The female driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus. Police do not believe impairment was a factor.

2:41 A.M.
Police are looking for a man who robbed a Speedee Mart at 10490 S. Decatur Blvd. Police say the man in a mask fired 4 to 5 shots into an ATM and then told the clerk to go to the back of the store. He took money from the register and possibly drove away in a dark-colored SUV. No one was injured.
