The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

5 P.M.
North Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal crash that involved a pedestrian and a vehicle near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Lake Mead Boulevard. The pedestrian, a man in his 40's, was killed in the collision after a Dodge Truck struck him while he was in the center median. Impairment is suspected, according to police.

UPDATE 11:19 A.M.
All lanes open again after a crash on the US-95 at Searchlight.

All lanes are open on Bonanza Road near Rancho Drive, RTC reports, following a deadly shooting in the area overnight.

UPDATE 9:30 A.M.
A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department vehicle was involved in a crash near El Camino and Arville as officers attempted to detain the suspect in a shooting near Eastern and Stewart avenues, according to police. The patrol vehicle hit a wall near the intersection. The officer was transported to UMC for minor injuries.

7:11 A.M.
Las Vegas police officers responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Eastern and Stewart avenues. No one was hit by gunfire and the suspected shooter left the scene at a high rate of speed, police say. Officers have been unable to locate the suspect vehicle which is described as a maroon Nissan Altima. This investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE 7:05 A.M.
Bonanza Road is closed in both directions between Rancho and Tonopah drives as police officers continue to investigate a deadly shooting at an apartment complex in the area overnight. Use other routes and expect delays

The intersection at Twain Avenue and Valley View Boulevard also remains blocked after a crash in the area this morning. A vehicle crashed into a power pole. Use other routes and expect delays.

6:44 A.M.
There is a crash on US-95 northbound at Searchlight. The RTC reports the intersection blocked. Use other routes and expect delays.

5:15 A.M.
Police officers and NV Energy are on the scene of crash near Valley View Boulevard and Twain Avenue. The inspection is blocked, use alternate routes, and expect delays while driving in the area.

A witness says a car slammed into power poles in the area before coming to a stop. We have reached out to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and are waiting to hear back. Check back for updates.

OVERNIGHT

UPDATE (Aug. 11): The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim of the fatal shooting as 38-year-old Gregron McCoy. McCoy died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest and his death was ruled a homicide.

Police say one man is dead and two others are injured after a shooting at an apartment complex near Bonanza Road and Rancho Drive overnight. If anyone has information they are urged to contact authorities. READ MORE
