The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:20 P.M.
LVMPD says search and rescue units are on scene at the Bears Best Trail near Town Center and Fiore Bella attempting to rescue a middle-aged male who reportedly fell during hiking.

6 P.M.
LVMPD officers responded to a residence near Vegas Valley Drive and Canonero Street about 3:07 p.m. due to a reported domestic disturbance. Officers made contact with an armed suspect who is refusing to comply with officers and exit the home. SWAT is arriving now. Vegas Valley is closed East and West of Canonero street. Avoid the area.

3:30 P.M.
The RTC reports a 10-mile backup on Interstate 15 southbound towards California. Expect long delays.

8 A.M.
Las Vegas police say a man transported to the hospital in critical condition late last night has just died. His death marks the second death related to a shooting overnight near Twain Avenue and University Center.

Police are investigating three separate incidents in the Las Vegas valley this morning, including one shooting involving the department.

The first incident is a shooting that happened on Saturday around 11:30 p.m. near Twain Avenue and University Center. Two people are dead and two others have non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. READ MORE

The second incident happened early Sunday morning near Valley View Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road. Police are investigating a homicide in the area. READ MORE

The third is a shooting involving the Las Vegas police department on Happy Stream Avenue near US-95 and Grand Teton in the northwest part of the valley. READ MORE.
