LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:45 P.M.
Las Vegas police say a body was found in the 4000 block of W. Twain Avenue around 5 p.m. Homicide detectives are investigating.

10:45 P.M.
An off-duty officer from the Clark County School District Police Department is under arrest for DUI following a crash near Pyle Avenue and Pollock Drive, according to Las Vegas police. The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. No word yet if there are any injuries.

1:15 P.M.
Las Vegas police are asking for the public's assistance in locating the owner of a popular BBQ joint in Las Vegas. 53-year-old Sharon Harrell was reportedly last seen on Aug. 23 in the area of Durango and Oakey Boulevard, which is in the same area as TC's BBQ Crib. Police do not believe she is in danger at this time, but they want to locate her. She is described as 5-feet 5-inches tall and 122 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding Sharon Harrell’s whereabouts is strongly encouraged to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 828-3111 or the Missing Persons Detail during business hours at (702) 828-2907.

NOON
Las Vegas police have determined the incident at Word of Life Christian Academy was NOT a shooting. It appears that someone threw something through the front door of the facility. Streets have been reopened. The incident is still under investigation.

11:15 A.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating an incident (possible shooting) near Word of Life Christian Academy, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive. Road closures are in effect in the immediate area. The school has been placed on a hard lockdown.

8:50 A.M.
Police are investigating a double stabbing in the 4900 block of Maryland Parkway, near UNLV. The two victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and a person was taken into custody, according to authorities.
