The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE 10 P.M.
School police provided an updated list of charges for the 16-year-old arrested at a Las Vegas middle school earlier today.

- Loitering about school with a firearm (BB Gun)

- Possession of an electronic stun gun device

- Disturbing the peace

- Obstruction of a police officer

UPDATE 8:15 P.M.
Police say the person hit by an RTC bus near Grand Central Parkway and Bonneville Avenue around 7 p.m. suffered only minor injuries.

7:30 P.M.
Las Vegas police say a 16-year-old boy was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon on school property after bringing a BB gun to Sedway Middle School, near Gowan Road and Commerce Street. Police say the teen was not a student at the school and that he went on campus after school was let out, His friend fought with another student at the school, police say. A parent called officers to report one of the teenagers had a gun. No injuries were reported.

7:02 P.M.
A person was hit by an RTC bus near Grand Central Parkway and Bonneville Avenue, according to Las Vegas police. That person is in unknown condition. Crews are on the scene. Avoid the area.

5:30 P.M.
1 person was transported to UMC in unknown condition after a crash involving a car and an ambulance, according to Las Vegas police. The incident happened near Rainbow Boulevard and Post Road shortly after 4:30 p.m.

11:15 A.M.
NV Energy is now reporting that power is going to be out in the 89121 zip code until approximately 3:15 p.m.

Students at Chaparral High School are being relocated to Valley High School. Students who ride the bus will be bussed to their bus stop from Valley HS. All other students will be bussed back to Chaparral High School at the end of the school day and parents will be able to pick up their students at the regular dismissal time.

Students who attend Harris Elementary School are being relocated to Orr Middle School. Students who regularly ride the bus home at the end of the school day will be bussed to their bus stop from William E. Orr Middle School. All other students will be bussed back to George E. Harris Elementary School at the end of the school day and parents will be able to pick up their students at the regular dismissal time.

9:45 A.M.
NV Energy is reporting a power outage in the 89121. It is affecting about 1,100 customers, including Chaparral High School. The school is not being evacuated according to message sent to parents by principal. Power is expected to be restored by 11:15 a.m.

"This is Assistant Principal Cummings Chaparral High School.
In an effort to keep you informed of events at our school, we want to inform you the school is without power this morning due to an outage in the neighborhood.
Nevada Energy has been notified and is sending a team to address the matter, but I wanted you to know that school is still taking place on our regular schedule.
Due to the outage, our phone service is not working, so we will send you another message to let you know when power has been restored.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work through this situation."

There are also power outages in a few other spots in the valley. A total of 1.455 customers have been impacted.
