The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:55 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a double shooting in the 5500 block of Sundance Avenue, near Bonanza Road and Christy Lane. Two people were shot and transported to the hospital with a suspect in police custody. READ MORE

4:14 P.M.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue are responding to a fire near downtown Las Vegas. READ MORE

2:11 P.M.
Nevada Highway Patrol says it is investigating shooting involving the department at Echo Trail in Mt. Charleston off Kyle Canyon Road. Authorities say one person is in custody after shots were fired by the subject and NHP. No officers were injured. READ MORE.

8:50 A.M.
26-year-old Suse Antunez-Garcia, the female clerk who police say shot a man reportedly stealing beer on March 29, has posted bond. READ MORE

6:45 A.M.
Chopper 13 is above a crash near Gowan and Pecos roads. Crews are on the scene and traffic is being diverted.

OVERNIGHT
A man is in the hospital in critical condition after a shooting in downtown Las Vegas. Police say the incident happened near North 8th Street and Ogden Avenue shortly before midnight. Officers are searching for a suspect and believe the subject was last seen running northbound from the area.
