The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

1 A.M.
Police say a homeless woman smashed a window at the Advent United Methodist Church near Rancho Drive and Alexander Road around 1 a.m. She was taken into custody and will undergo a mental health evaluation.

OVERNIGHT
One person is dead after trying to cross the street on a bicycle shortly before 10 p.m. on April 17 near Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue. Police say the bicycle was not in a crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment. This crash is the 35th traffic related death in Las Vegas for 2019.
