The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

5:45 P.M.
Police are investigating a shooting in the 4100 block of Tattersall Place, near Alexander Road and Lamb Boulevard. A person was shot with a possible suspect in custody, according to officers. The victim's condition was not immediately known.

1:44 A.M.
Police are searching for a suspect after a shooting at a gas station near Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue. Bullets hit the building and gas pumps. No injuries have been reported.

A possible suspect vehicle, a small white car driven by an unknown driver, left the parking lot and was last seen southbound going into the parking lot of an apartment complex 3700 block of Swenson. Anyone with information is urged to contact police. READ MORE

OVERNIGHT
Police say officers were serving a search warrant as part of the Southern Nevada Heroin Task Force before a shooting involving the department last night. The incident happened near Hollywood Boulevard and Carey Avenue at 8:24 p.m. on April 9. Although it happened in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's district, Henderson officers were the ones involved. Investigators say the man was armed and refusing commands when they approached him and a detective opened fire. The man retreated and was eventually taken into custody. No one was hurt.
