LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — UNLV students have complained on social media that there are not enough parking spots on campus.

Many say the parking permits are too expensive and that citations are given too frequently and cost too much to pay off.

UNLV says fall semester is their busiest time on campus and although they understand that parking is a concern for students. They say there is enough parking on campus for all students, staff and visitors.

According to UNLV, there are 14,000 parking spaces on campus and just over 30,000 students enrolled.

But the university says with classes staggered throughout the day not all students are on campus at the same time giving everyone a chance to have a space.

UNLV has tips to navigate crowds and construction as the fall semester, you can find that information here.
