LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A park is being built in honor of one of the police officers killed in the line of duty in June 2014.
Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo were eating lunch at CiCi's Pizza near Stewart Avenue and Nellis Boulevard when they were shot by Jerad and Amanda Miller.
The couple then ran into a neighboring Walmart where they killed a civilian named Joseph Wilcox, 31, who tried to stop them.

The couple died during a gunfight with responding officers. Police shot and killed Jerad and Amanda committed suicide.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held for the new Alyn Beck Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Dec. 18. The 10.5-acre park will be located near Skye Canyon Park Drive and Brent lane.
