LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A group of soldiers in the Nevada National Guard are now home after their deployment to Washington, D.C., to assist federal law enforcement for the Jan. 20 Presidential Inauguration.

The 17th Sustainment Brigade reports the soldiers from the 1st Squadron 221st Cavalry landed at Nellis Air Force Base on Tuesday just as the sun was setting over Las Vegas.
Gov. Steve Sisolak thanked the soldiers for their service, tweeting:
I am glad to see the return of the men and women of the @NVNationalGuard. Thank you for always answering the call to service. #BattleBorn
