NEVADA (KTNV) — There is a push to remove Pat McCarran's statue from the National Statuary Hall Collection in Washington D.C.

Congresswoman Susie Lee and Congressman Steven Horsford posted on social media a letter signed by three Nevada U.S. representatives and two senators asking for the statue to be replaced.

The representatives cite McCarran's legacy of racism and anti-Semitism.

Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom is also leading a move to rename McCarran Airport.
