Nevada parents who receive child support payments through a Chase Visa debit card will soon be issued a new card, through Bank of America, N.A.
The new cards will be mailed to current child support debit cardholders between Dec. 12 and Dec. 23. Information regarding the transition will be mailed to current cardholders beginning Nov. 7.
Effective Jan. 1, 2017 child support payments will be deposited to the new Bank of America Visa cards.
Parents should activate the card immediately upon receipt to prevent delays in receiving child support payments.
The change is due to the previous card issuer, JPMorgan Chase, exiting the government prepaid card field.
