Security cameras capture a brazen burglary in Summerlin in broad daylight.

Two men who appear to have a gun broke into the home while the owners were out of town.

Jamon McBride and his family were in Australia when their home was broken into happened days ago.

"Somebody being in your house, with a wife and two little kids that's the scariest thing is had they possibly been home," says McBride.

The home security email notification went to his wife's junkmail so they were unaware until a neighbor noticed something was off.

Jamon immediately booked a flight back.

Now neighbors are teaming-up to catch the thieves - combing through neighborhood surveillance cameras for any clues.

"It was kind of shocking. You feel kind of violated you know that happens to somebody, a neighbor, especially in this neighborhood where everybody is pretty close," says neighbor, Jay Bice.

Police say home burglaries on the northwest side are on the rise.

They're asking you to be proactive.

Glass windows like are easy to break. Invest in a smash proof window security film. And don't forget to lock your windows. You'd be surprised how many people forget to do that.

Metro says in one third of this year's home burglaries they've investigated - doors and windows were left unlocked.

Jamon Mcbride had all security measures put in place.

But what helped him the most were his vigilant neighbors.

His advice: "Work as a neighborhood. Know your neighbors, let them know when you're going to be away. Always be on the lookout for things that just don't look normal."

If you recognize the men in these pictures call the Las Vegas Metro Police - North West Area Command 702-828-3426or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
