FAYETTEVILLE, Ohio -- Fire investigators think an oxygen tank may have caused a fatal home "explosion" and fire early Wednesday morning in Brown County, Ohio.

Neighbors at Lake Lorelei called 911 at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday, describing an explosion that engulfed a home in flames and killed at least one person, 911 dispatchers said.

Several hours later, Fayetteville Fire Chief Mark Rosselot said one elderly woman died in the fire. Rosselot said the woman's oxygen tank exploded in the home.

The house was "fully engulfed" when first responders arrived at the scene, Rosselot said. Siding from neighbors' home also partially melted.

The chief has not identified the woman who died in the explosion.

Officially, the cause of the fire is still under investigation, Rosselot said.
