Does Ted Cruz's father have ties to Lee Harvey Oswald, and is Hillary Clinton one-sided in the Israel-Palestine conflict? On Thursday, PolitiFact put these claims to the test.

"His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald being, you know, shot. I mean the whole thing is ridiculous," GOP front-runnerDonald Trump said on Fox News.

Trump made that claim this week on "Fox & Friends," reciting an article in the National Enquirer that claims a 1963 photo proves Ted Cruz's father Rafael had ties to Lee Harvey Oswald. The article citing circumstantial evidence as well as analysis by photo experts.

PolitiFact reached out to their own photo expert who said...

"It appears to just be a similar looking person with the same haircut but it's way too grainy to say this is Rafael Cruz," PolitiFact's Katie Sanders said.

With no hard evidence, PolitiFact calling Trump’s claim implausible at best and ridiculous at worst.  Earning Trump PolitiFact's worst rating of: PANTS ON FIRE

"I was criticizing Secretary Clinton. She gave a speech to AIPAC.  It's a long speech. It was one sentence, I believe, that even mentioned the Palestinians," Democratic Challenger Bernie Sanders said about Hillary Clinton.

Sanders criticized Hillary Clinton for a speech she recently gave to the Pro-Israel group AIPAC.  Sanders claimed Clinton is not evenhanded in her approach to the Jewish-Palestinian conflict, and is a little too Pro-Israel based on her speech to AIPAC.

PolitiFact looked closer at that speech.

"o just single out the few times that she said Palestine by name really ignores the larger point that she made in part of her speech about the peace process," Katie Sanders said.
