It's the latest in a string of clown-related threats and incidents across the country.

Police officials in Omaha, Nebraska, said they received calls Monday night about possible school threats referencing clowns and violence.

In a statement, OPD said they are investigating these cases.

OPD officials added they are working with Omaha Public Schools to ensure the safety of all students.

"These incidences appear to be similar in nature to those reported to other jurisdictions nationally. This is an on going investigation and the Omaha Police Department will send out updates when available," Omaha Police said in a statement.

Several threats were made in social media sites including Instagram, where they mentioned local schools including Burke High, Northwest High, and Omaha South High.
