BRISTOL, Tenn. — One person is dead and four have been injured after a man opened fired at a Bristol, Tennessee hotel and nearby highway in a series of shootings early Thursday morning.
The Bristol Herald Courier reports that the person killed was a newspaper carrier, and that a police officer and the shooter were injured in the shootings. The injured officer has already been released from a local hospital.
Bristol officials say that there is no "public safety threat to the Bristol community."
