At least 13 people are dead, including a sheriff's deputy, after a shooting at a country bar in Thousand Oaks, California.

The bar was conducting its weekly country night for college students when the shooting happened.

According to police, the gunman is dead.

The shooting at the popular bar comes just more than one year after 58 people were killed at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

According to the LA Times, some people inside the Thousand Oaks bar survived the Las Vegas mass shooting.

“A lot of people in the Route 91 situation go here,” one survivor told the LA Times. “There’s people that live a whole lifetime without seeing this, and then there’s people that have seen it twice.”

The names of those killed and the names of those who survived the California shooting have not been released.
