“Swifties” hit the streets of Nashville as rumors swirled that Taylor Swift would show up at a new mural in The Gulch -- and she did.
Hundreds, some of whom waited for hours, gathered at the mural, early Thursday morning. Speculation was high and left many wondering if she would show and then it happened -- shortly before noon, Swift made an appearance and signed autographs for fans.
The colorful and playful butterfly wings are the second pair of wings in the area and popped up just in time for the NFL Draft.
People are rumoring @taylorswift13 might come out to the new mural in the #Gulch . Whether or not that’s true remains to be seen, but people sure seem to think it is. This is just part of the crowd... pic.twitter.com/AKH2XFakO6

The American Broadcasting Company commissioned Montegue to create the painting for the upcoming draft. The company's hope is that the same thing will happen at the butterfly wings just across the street on 11th Avenue South.
