Firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze at a Walmart off U.S. 19. in the Clearwater-Largo area.
A dark plume of smoke could be seen rising from the store at 2677 Roosevelt Blvd. just after 12:30 p.m.
Largo Police told ABC Action News there was a fire on the roof of the store.
The store was evacuated and remains closed.
Witnesses told ABC Action News reporter Nichole Grigg that they heard several explosions before the fire.
