An armed man was shot and killed in Las Vegas after attempting to rob a group of people playing Pokemon Go.

The gunman was reportedly with an accomplice at the time of the incident, which involved a group of six people playing the popular new phone app, Time reports.

The group was at Big League Dreams park just after 4 a.m. Monday when an unidentified man – accompanied by the underage driver of an SUV -- pulled up and demanded their possessions at gunpoint.

That’s when one of the players, who apparently has a concealed weapons permit, pulled out his gun -- both sides exchanged fire, officials said.

One Pokemon Go player, as well as the would-be robber, were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, Las Vegas police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

The player was shot in the stomach, while the suspect took a gunshot wound to the back. Charges against the suspect and his accomplice were not immediately available.

It isn’t the first instance of dangerous Pokemon Go-related cases. In Missouri, four teenagers were arrested earlier this month for using the game to lure and rob people.
