Five people were killed Sunday and another was injured when an Amtrak train collided with a van in Colorado, officials said.

According to CNN, which cites Colorado State Patrol, the van failed to yield to the train and was subsequently hit on its right side.

It happened about three miles north of Trinidad, Colorado.
The driver of the van, as well as four passengers, were killed. KMGH reports that three of those killed were juveniles. Another juvenile occupant was reportedly airlifted to Denver Hospital with serious injuries.

No one aboard the train, which held 286 passengers, was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
