LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Las Vegas has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Northwestern Clark County until 7:15 p.m.
NWS reports that at 4:18 p.m. Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.
Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain has fallen near Kyle Canyon and Lee Canyon Roads.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
The NWS alert says "some locations that will experience flash flooding include: the Spring Mountains including Kyle Canyon and Lee Canyon Roads."
The flash flood radar and gauge has indicated the potential for considerable damage in the impacted areas.
