The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is back in town and cowboys and cowgirls are recognizing the 1 October mass shooting with a special wall of messages at the Cowboy Christmas gift show.

In addition, as the world's best cowboys entered the arena at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Thursday night, one thing was noticeably missing -- the number 58 bib on the back of the competitors.

All of them came together ahead of the championship event and decided no one would wear the number to honor the 58 killed in the 1 October shooting.

The 10-day event is sold out once again, meaning attendance will likely be around 170,000 for the year.

But for those who can't get their hands on a ticket inside the arena, there are 35 watch parties around town for fans who came to town to enjoy the rodeo excitement.

There are also plenty of other activities going on around town for fans as well.
