The Mount Charleston Winter Alliance is warning visitors of heavy snowfall on Sunday.
The National Weather Service is predicting 5 to 10 inches of snow on Sunday for the Mount Charleston area that includes Lee Canyon.
The Winter Alliance is urging visitors to prepare for winter conditions before visiting the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. Guests can visit www.mtcharlestowinter.com, to receive the most up-to-date winter road and driving conditions, chain requirements and road closures.
Please keep these visitation tips in mind: Wear appropriate outdoor clothing for snow and cold temperatures, don’t trespass on private property or closed areas, sled away from traffic and avoid areas with rocks and trees, park in designated areas, and don’t litter.
