A motorcyclist and passenger were not wearing helmets in a crash in northwestern Arizona early Monday morning.
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash in Dolan Springs around 5:36 a.m. The operator of a motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and traveled off the road.
The male driver of Dolan Springs was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 15-year-old female passenger was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center by Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire Department.
The driver’s identity will be released after next of kin has been notified.
Speed may have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
