Motorcyclist killed in crash on Wednesday

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash involving two other vehicles on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened at approximately 1:50 p.m. near South Eastern Avenue and East Twain Avenue.

Police say that a Kawasaki motorcyce was traveling north on Eastern Avenue in the right lane and was approaching the intersection with Twain. with Twain Avenue. A Honda Fit was turning left from southbound Eastern Avenue to eastbound Twain Avenue. A Toyota Corolla was stopped on westbound Twain Avenue at Eastern Avenue and was preparing to turn left. The Honda Fit crossed in front of the Kawasaki and the bike hit the Honda Fit.

The motorcyclist was ejected. The Honda then hit the Toyota Corolla.

The motorcyclist and the driver of the Honda were transported to Sunrise Hospital. The motorcyclist died at the hospital. The driver of the Honda was released with minor injuries and the driver of the Toyota was not injured.

The motorcyclist was being ridden by a 47-year-old male from Las Vegas. His name will be released by the Clark County coroner after relatives have been notified.

The Honday Fit was driven by a 67-year-old female and the Toyota Corolla was driven by a 69-year-old female.

This is the 45th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas so far this year.
