A motorcyclist died in a crash last week near Laughlin.
The Nevada Highway Patrol reported Monday that a motorcyclist was killed Thursday, March 31, in a crash with a silver Dodge on State Route 163.
Around 11:30 a.m., a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on SR 163 in the left travel lane when he drove left of the center line and into the eastbound travel lane. The front of the motorcycle hit the right front of the Dodge.
The motorcyclist continued across the eastbound lanes and struck a cement barrier on the eastbound right shoulder before being ejected over the cement barrier. The 67-year-old male motorcycle rider was transported to University Medical Center by Mercy Air where he later died.
The 66-year-old female driver of the Dodge was not transported.
This was the Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command's 17th fatal crash this year resulting in 18 lives lost.
