A 35-year-old motorcyclist died in a high-speed Henderson crash Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. Police said the man, identified as Joseph Brezic of Henderson, was speeding eastbound on East Galleria Drive where the rider lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from the bike.

He ended up at the intersection of East Galleria Drive and Pabco Road where he was hit by a passing vehicle.

He was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital Rose de Lima Campus where he died from his injuries.

The 74-year-old Henderson driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcyclist was uninjured. That driver voluntarily submitted to blood testing. He did not appear to be impaired.

The road was closed for 3.5 hours while police conducted their investigation.

This was the third traffic-related fatality in Henderson in 2016.
