The mother of a British man arrested at a Donald Trump rally in June is concerned for her son's mental health.
Lynne Sandford told reporters in London Tuesday that her son, 20-year-old Michael Sandford, has been diagnosed with a number of mental health issues and has been on suicide watch for the past three weeks.
Michael Sandford is accused of trying to wrestle a gun away from a Las Vegas police officer at the Trump rally at the Treasure Island hotel-casino. He told police he intended to kill the Republican presidential candidates.
Sandford is set to stand trial Aug. 22 on several felony charges.
