A preliminary hearing was set Tuesday for a couple accused of shooting a father in broad daylight in front of his daughter in Henderson.

During a court appearance Tuesday, Krystal Guice, 23, and Deonte Coleman, 25, have a preliminary hearing scheduled for Feb. 22 for their murder charges in the death of 26-year-old Johnny Haney. He was shot and killed Feb. 1 and the couple were arrested the next day.

Haney had been visiting a friend's apartment in Henderson when Guice arrived to exchange their 4-year-old daughter.

Guice also has a bail reduction hearing scheduled for Feb. 16. Lawyers asked for a bail reduction charge from $35,000 since she has two small kids, also including a 4-week-old she has with Coleman. The children are currently in her sister's custody.

The judge noted that he thought Guice might be a flight risk.

"Her behavior was not the type of behavior that indicated to me that she's going to be freely accessible and so I was frankly quite worried about that," said Judge David Gibson Sr.

Haney was shot in front of their 4-year-old daughter, who told police "Tae shot my dad and killed him," referring to Coleman.

Guice told police she didn't see her boyfriend with a gun and didn't see what happened. After the shooting, she took her daughter and drove off, dropping off Coleman at a gas station. She later abandoned the vehicle at an apartment complex in Las Vegas.
