LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Southern Nevada finally got a taste of some rain Wednesday afternoon with a little bit of a break from the record-setting temperatures and heat felt across the region.
Wednesday marks 48th day in a row of triple-digit heat in Las Vegas
The National Weather Service Las Vegas shared a few images just after 3:30 p.m. of monsoonal moisture finally arriving into the valley.

13 Action News Meteorologist caught a few of the pop-up storms in the southwest part of town at around 4:15 p.m.

Videos were also shared that showed showers in the Henderson area at around 4 p.m.

The NWS Las Vegas says the valley had not seen rain in over 120 days.
Southwest and west Las Vegas appeared to see the most rain and wind locally Wednesday afternoon, according to initial reports.
