An internal memo from the CEO of MGM Resorts is circulating online.
CEO Jim Murren apologizes in the memo for not communicating with workers about the lawsuit that weas filed by the company against victims of the 1 October mass shooting.
He goes on to explain the lawsuit, writing "MGM Resorts is not suing victims for damages or attempting to extract monetary payment from the victims in any way."
The CEO says that the lawsuit was filed so all the victims can be heard in one courtroom rather than having to travel all over the country and testify over and over again.
