LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — There is a little bit of everything on display at this year’s Marijuana Business Conference or MJBizCon as it’s the largest gathering of cannabis professionals with 35,000 expected to attend.

One of the businesses attending is Clear Cannabis Inc., and the company says its primary goal is to find cleaner ways to consume the product.

“Clear started in 2013 and has been a pioneer when it comes to vaping. We have been on the cutting edge when it comes to that and makes sure everything in our products is healthy,” said CEO of Clear Cannabis John Cushman.

The vaping industry made headlines earlier this year with reports of vaping-related illnesses, but industry leaders say that’s why it’s important to avoid black market products.

“Consumers are purchasing a lot of items illegally, but the cannabis industry is so regulated that products are safer than broccoli,” Cushman said.

Representatives also say proper testing is taking place when it comes to vaping alternatives like hemp pre-rolls.

“We have 100 percent hemp, fresh flower, using biodegradable filters, and we are trying to make it as clean of a process possible,” said Wil Ralston, president of SinglePoint Inc.

The company says its products are third-party tested, and the team has seen an increase in recent sales.

“With everything that has been going on in the vaping market, we have been getting a lot of interest from convenience stores and vape shops looking for replacement products,” Ralston said.

The marijuana convention continues this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center through Friday.
