High winds threatened to spread a fire in a manufactured home to other structures Friday night.

The Henderson Fire Department responded to the fire on Pontiac Place, near East Lake Mead Parkway and Mohawk Drive, around 10 p.m.

The first arriving engine crew observed fire and smoke coming from a manufactured home, with high wind conditions causing the fire to threaten neighboring structures. Firefighters quickly attacked and extinguished the fire, preventing damage to other homes. Four engines, one truck and two rescue units responded to the fire.

The fire was reported by a neighbor who called 911. The home was vacant and used for storage.

The cause of the fire was undetermined. Total loss is estimated at $30,000.

There were no injuries to bystanders or firefighters.
