A man wanted for threatening to kill a person in New York City led to a standoff that kept a Las Vegas neighborhood on lockdown for hours.
Police have not released the man's name, but officers were calling for "Joe" to come out of a house near Windmill Lane and Decatur Boulevard.
The standoff began when officers arrived at the house around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Las Vegas police were working with New York City police to arrest the man on a warrant out of New York.
The New York City Police Department says they tracked the man to the home after he called and threatened to kill a New York City resident in April.
Officers say threats were also made to those close to the victim.
The SWAT team eventually found the man in the attic of the home after about five hours.
NYPD said they plan to extradite the man to face charges in New York.
