Police say a 25-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday while trying to buy drugs at an apartment complex.

It happened around 6 p.m. at the Enclaves Apartments near Sahara Avenue and Durango Drive.
Homicide detectives determined the victim showed up to the apartment complex to purchase narcotics. At some point, the victim and the shooter became involved in a physical altercation. The victim sustained a gunshot wound the chest and the shooter fled on foot.
The shooter is described as a man 5’11" with a thin build and “fade” type haircut and wearing a letterman jacket, dark pants and a backpack.
The coroner identified the man killed as 25-year-old Martell Williams of Las Vegas. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
