A 40-year-old male was killed after his Mercedes Benz rolled over near Mountains Edge Parkway and South Fort Apache Road.

Police say that the car was traveling west on Mountains Edge Parkway at a high rate of speed when it went past a stop sign and continued through the intersection between a set of fixed road closure barriers.

The front of the vehicle hit a steep slope and flipped, end over end, into the desert. The vehicle came to rest on the driver's side several hundred feet west of the intersection.

The crash was reported at 10:18 Dec. 3.

The drive was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clark County coroner will release name of deceased after relatives have been notified.

This is the 111th traffic related fatality in Las Vegas for 2016.
