A 59-year-old man died after a five-vehicle crash Friday near Rainbow Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue.

Around 12:37 p.m., Las Vegas police said a Toyota Sienna was heading southbound on Rainbow at Hacienda with a green signal when a Lexus ES 350 traveling northbound made a left turn on a flashing yellow signal. The vehicles collided and the Lexus also struck a BMW X4 and Honda Accord, which then hit a Ford Transit Wagon.

All five drivers were transported to the hospital. The 84-year-old driver of the Lexus had serious injuries.

The driver of the Honda, 59-year-old Reza Akhavan, was transported to Southern Hills Hospital before being transported to Sunrise Hospital when his condition began to decline. On Tuesday, the Clark County coroner told police he had died of his injuries.
