A man is dead following a bizarre confrontation involving another man and a SUV on Thursday.
It happened around 5 p.m. on Quiet Cove Way, near Desert Inn and Fort Apache. Police say a verbal fight occurred between two men in front of a home.
40-year-old Christopher Sacca, of Las Vegas, got into his truck to escape the fight, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
But police say a 27-year-old man wanted to continue the altercation. He was identified as Michael Richards of Las Vegas on Friday morning.
Richards reportedly began running and grabbed onto the driver's side of the Ford. He was unable to hold on, slipped, and was run over by the truck, said police.
Sacca fled the scene and was located at his residence, said police. He was taken into custody for felony DUI and hit-and-run charges.
