A 41-year-old inmate died at Summerlin Hospital Tuesday.
The Nevada Department of Corrections reported that prior to his admittance to the hospital Prim was housed at High Desert State Prison outside Las Vegas.
Prim was committed from Clark County on Oct. 16, 2017, and was serving a sentence of 3 to 11 years for voluntary manslaughter and use of a deadly weapon.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Prim was arrested in the May 30, 2017 stabbing death of Dejuan White.
