Dalton's mother passed away unexpected on Jan. 10 while on vacation in Las Vegas. Her family came to Las Vegas to retrieve her ashes. The ashes were in their luggage, which was stolen from the hotel.

Dalton says that a man named Eric Maxwell, who is in Las Vegas on business, was taking a walk when he found the ashes and called the police department. The family is now waiting for the police department to let them know when they can pick up the ashes.

Las Vegas police thanked Maxwell in a tweet, and reminded others if you see something, say something.
