LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Are you ready for winter time? A popular ski resort that Las Vegas locals travel to is now open.
Mammoth Mountain, a 5 hour drive from Las Vegas, opened today for the 2019-2020 winter ski season.
Three of the resorts' ski lifts have started operations, providing access to four trails and a terrain park.
With colder overnight temperatures in the forecast, snow making operations are full bore, with new terrain opening quickly.
Current base depths:
- 12" at Main Lodge
- 18" at McCoy Station
