LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Monorail officially belongs to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The deal was approved Thursday and the transaction also gives the LVCVA the option to develop other transportation options, like an underground tunnel on the east side of the Las Vegas Strip.

The monorail first started running back in 1995 before expanding in 2004.
