LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A freelance sports journalist says he lost all of his revenue when local sports books closed as a result of coronavirus concerns.
Willie Ramirez has been a freelance sports journalist for over 30 years, and his focus has been on sports betting.
But, when there’s nothing to bet on there’s nothing to write about.
Ramirez says when those games went off the boards, it wiped his income down 100%.
“Never in a million years would I think to myself that every conference championship, march madness, baseball, hockey, everything which is stopped,” says Ramirez.
Willie says he has some money owed to him for work he’s already done that he’s waiting on to come through.
