A video of a valley man getting charged for gas that isn't coming out has gone viral.
Carlos Abedoy posted the video Monday that shows him holding a pump up in the air while the meter runs.
Abedoy says in the video, "It's not pumping gas but it's still going and it's still trying to charge my card."
It happened on pump three at Rebel station on Bonanza and Mojave Roads.
"I was just feeling this is not fair," Abedoy said. "This is not something that usually happens."
He says he's been overcharged at the station three times now. It's only been a few dollars each time so he's never filed a formal complaint.
Abedoy says he posted the video to warn the community.
"I'm not sure if it's a scam or if it's something with the machine not working, but either way it's bad so you got to take care of it," he said.
The state's Department of Agriculture says the problem's called "pump creep" and it happens occasionally.
An inspection last year at the station in question found one of the pumps to be in violation.
When that happens, the pump is shut down immediately and doesn't reopen until the issue's fixed.
Inspectors urge drivers to file a complaint if they encounter "pump creep."
They say they'll be going out to look at this newest complaint.
